Raj Ramayya Performs “Ask DNA” Live at Anime Evolution 2010

If you were to ask most attendees at Anime Evolution 2010, Vancouver’s annual anime convention, if they knew that one of the vocalists from  Cowboy Bebop: Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door and Wolf’s Rain was performing that weekend, most would have said no. Nonetheless, Raj Ramayya and his band “The Beautiful Losers” were indeed at the con, and put on an amazing show. It served as one of the highlights of a surprisingly fun convention.

Born in Saskatchewan, Raj formed The Beautiful Losers with guitarist Brett Boyd while in Japan, where he also crossed paths with Yoko Kanno. They are currently grounded in San Francisco, CA. I highly recommend checking out more of their work through their official website.
